About Us

Welcome! Our Scouts come from Kennedy, Pinecrest, McAuliffe, and Pine Harbor, as well as a Home Schooled students. Cub Scouts is a Parent Led Activity that can be described as fun with a purpose. We meet in Dens made up of Scouts from the same grade level or age to work on projects that help the scouts learn about themselves and their community as well as develop skills and positive character traits. The Den meetings are scheduled with the parents input in order to help accommodate busy schedules. We also meet as a Pack on the third Thursday of every month from September thru May at Hope Lutheran Church. At the Pack meetings we recognize the scouts for their achievements and carry on the scouting tradition that has passed the test of time for over 100 years. Some of the the things you can expect to do with our pack include: Community Service Projects Camping Launching Rockets Building and racing Pinewood Derby cars Building a Chariot box racer Earning awards and badges including the coveted Arrow of Light, the highest honor a cub scout can earn. Support our pack and the Northern Star Council, our governing council, in their mission to bring us programs and scouting to kids in this area who could not otherwise afford it through popcorn sales. The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness. For over a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through over a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
