Children of different ages have different ranks in Cub Scouting. As you go from Lions (age 5) to Webelos II Scout (age 10). The Scouts learn new things and new skills that they use to meet new challenges as they get older. Curious? Parents and children can attend a monthly Pack meeting, meet us and join in.
Interested in joining Pack 444 here is a brief description by age/grade rank:
- Lion Scouts. Kindergarten children join a Lion Den, age appropriate activities with their parents. One meeting is a Den meeting, one is a go-see-it and one Pack Meeting per month.
- Tiger Scouts. First-grade children join a Tiger den, where each child works with an adult parent on the requirements to earn his Tiger badge. One Den meeting and one Pack meeting per month.
- Wolf Scouts. Second-grade children graduate into a Wolf den. They go to bi-weekly den meetings with their parents. The families still help them work on the requirements for the Wolf badge. Additional they attend one Pack meeting per month.
- Bear Scouts. Children in the third grade are members of a Bear den. They also work with their families to do the requirements for the Bear badge, but children this old have enough knowledge and skill to take on more of the work by themselves. 2-3 Den meetings per month and one Pack meeting per month.
- Webelos Scouts. Children in the fourth and fifth grades become Webelos Scouts. Webelos Scouts do more advanced activities to get ready to graduate into Scouting. 3-4 Den meetings per month and one Pack meeting per month.
